Find out if the open-world Lost Skies is coming to all platforms, and all of the ways to play this new co-op survival game.

Lost Skies All Platforms and Ways to Play

Lost Skies offers an exciting, immersive experience that transports players into a vast, open world filled with exploration, adventure, and discovery. Whether you’re soaring through the skies, uncovering hidden secrets, or embarking on epic quests, the game promises hours of thrilling gameplay. In this article, we’ll explore all the platforms where Lost Skies is available and guide you through the various ways you can join the exploration of this vast world.

All Platforms to Play Lost Skies

Lost Skies is set to release in Early Access on April 18, 2025, on the Steam platform only. Furthermore, a full release date for the game has not been set. At the time, the developers are hopeful that early access will go well, and they can launch a full release later this year.

Lost Skies is an upcoming open-world cooperative survival adventure game developed by Bossa Games and published by Humble Games. Set in a world of floating islands, the game emphasizes exploration, crafting, and dynamic combat. You can build and customize your own skyships, traverse diverse environments, and engage in battles against colossal beings. Additionally, this game also features an Island Creator tool, allowing players to design and share custom islands with the community.

Can You Play Lost Skies on Consoles?

Lost Skies Foggy Forest and Ruins

No, unfortunately Lost Skies will not launch on any console platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or Switch. It will not be available in Early Access on any of these platforms.

Additionally, the developers have made no commitments to bring Lost Skies to any consoles in the future. Their official website states that they currently have no plans to bring the game to consoles. Furthermore, their “current priority is to launch Lost Skies as the best possible game on PC.”

This leaves the possibility of ever seeing Lost Skies on consoles very unlikely. The game may be enough of a hit that the developers decide to port the title to PC. However, this would likely mean a wait of a year or more. Therefore, if you want to play with a friend at release, you’re better off planning to play on PC.

Ways to Play Lost Skies on PC

The only way to play Lost Skies on PC is through the Steam store. It is currently not available to players through the Epic Games Store or the Microsoft PC game pass.

Again, the developers have made no comment committing themselves either way. However, the restriction to Steam may be for early access only. This makes it much easier for the developers to test mechanics, fix bugs, and add content. By focusing on only one platform it allows them to concentrate primarily on the game and the way it functions.

With luck, hopefully, when Lost Skies reaches the point where it is ready for a full 1.0 release, the title will become available from other PC stores.
