There is no romance in Lost Soul Aside. The hack and slash action-adventure game has an intriguing story for players to enjoy. However, during the entire narrative, Kaser, our protagonist, doesn’t get the chance to fall in love with anybody. And we wouldn’t blame him for that, since he’s got a lot on his plate. Not only does he need to rescue his sister Louisa, but he must also save humanity. All that is well and good, but such a life does leave very little time to go on dates. In the following article, we’ll explore the lack of romantic relationships and the overall story beats of the game.
No Romance in Lost Soul Aside
During your journey to find your missing sister, Kaser will obviously meet a host of characters. Some of these will be staunch allies that’ll assist him in his battle against the mysterious Voidrax. Other characters won’t really be friends, instead impeding his journey. However, amongst all of the interesting NPCs you meet, Kaser doesn’t really come across anyone that he falls for in a romantic manner. This is surprising since the game clearly draws inspiration from Final Fantasy XV, where one of the major story beats involved the romantic relationship between Luna and Noctis.
However, it seems that the developers wanted to keep the narrative of Lost Soul Aside focused on the core storyline. Kaser and Louisa are orphans, which explains their close bond as siblings. So, when Louisa goes missing and Kaser realizes that she might be in danger, his primary focus becomes rescuing her. So, if you think about it from a realism standpoint, the decision to have romantic relationships makes sense.

Lost Soul Aside: Story Overview
As we said before, Kaser and Louisa are siblings that have been orphaned by the war. After that happened, it was Kaser who brought up his sister, naturally creating a deep emotional bond between the two. Once they grew up, both joined the resistance group named GLIMMER. This group primarily opposes the oppression that people face under the rule of the Empire.
However, things soon go wrong as Louisa disappears after the arrival of inter-dimensional invaders known as Voidrax. Kaser sets out on a journey to rescue his sister and save humanity. However, he cannot do it all alone and soon comes across a repentant Voidrax named Arena. Arena regrets his past actions that led to the destruction of other worlds, and he wants to prevent that from happening this time around. He offers a range of abilities to aid Kaser in his journey to find and defeat the ruthless commander of the Voidrax, Aramon.
