Popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Ludwig pleaded YouTube to remove the limited monetization implied on his recent YouTube video.

YouTube seemingly implemented limited monetization on popular Twitch streamer Ludwig’s recent YouTube video. The streamer took to X to plead with YouTube to reinstate his monetization on the platform. For those unaware, Ludwig will be biking across Japan alongside fellow content creator Michael Reeves.
During the biking tour, Ludwig won’t be streaming and will only upload vlogs on YouTube. The streamer was supposedly lost in Japan and then pleaded with the YouTube team to fix his monetization.
“@YouTubeCreators @YouTube Hello can you please help remove this yellow sign I am lost in Japan and need help please I am driving a motorcycle as I type this pleseee”

Ludwig has over 6.63M subscribers on YouTube, where he is uploading the whole Japan biking tour with Michael. Ahgren announced that he would be going around Japan from tip to tip. The streamer announced that he would implement several rules during his tour.
Lud stated that he and Michael won’t be using Google Maps or Google Search to navigate through Japan. He also won’t be using highways and will be using old connecting roads instead. Lud also stated that they will be swapping their smartphones for older phones.
The content creators seemingly got lost on their way to the next destination, Fukuoka. During the recent video, Michael said that they currently are in the southwest part of the country in Kanoya. On day 2, Ludwig and Michael only traveled over 106 miles or 171 kilometers from Kanoya. With over 10 days left, the streamers will have to travel more than 1495 miles to Cape Soya in Hokkaido.
YouTube Responds to Ludwig’s Plea
YouTube is known for its strict moderation rules. While Ludwig pleaded for his monetization to be reinstated, Team YouTube stated that their systems detected that the video did not meet the ad-friendly guidelines. The streamer seemingly got his monetization limited after the first minute of the video featured explicit language. YouTube did not reinstate his monetization despite his plea:
“We know how important this is to you. If your video got a yellow dollar icon, it means that our system has detected that the video doesn’t meet our ad-friendly guidelines.”

Following YouTube’s response, Ludwig pleaded with the platform once again. He remarked that he was ad-friendly on YouTube. Other than his plea, Ludwig also stated that he did not know Japan uses left-side driving lanes. Lud mentioned that he was typing using only one hand while replying to YouTube. He wrote a message in very broken English, once again pleading YouTube:
“SORRY IM TOYING WITH ONE HAND DIDNU KNOWNTHEY DRIVE ON THE PEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD HERE?? Anyway lpleASE FIX!! I’m very ad friendly”
