Tennis player Coco Gauff called Ludwig one of her top three Twitch streamers during the 2025 Oscar Red Carpet event.

Professional tennis player Coco Gauff attended the annual Oscars Red Carpet event on March 3, 2025. She told interviewers she loves watching Twitch streams and called Ludwig Ahgren one of her favorite content creators.
Gauff is one of the most successful tennis players in the United States. She famously defeated Venus Williams in the 2019 Wimbledon Championship. The athlete has an impressive win-loss record of 234-99 and has over $23 million in prize winnings. She peaked at world No. 1 in doubles and world No. 2 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
A clip of Gauff naming Ludwig, Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, and Kai Cenat as her top three streamers went viral on X. Ludwig seemed surprised to see a “fellow athlete” watch him stream content.
Coco Gauff Talks About Her Favorite Twitch Streamers
Complex magazine interviewed Coco Gauff at the 2025 Oscars Red Carpet event and asked her if she watches online content. She responded:
“I’m a hardcore Twitch girl. I went to Twitch con and everything. My favorite streamer, probably Valkyrae, I really like her. Obviously Kai is like blooming, uhm…and Ludwig…I like him too.”

She appreciates Twitch content because people’s reactions are “different” and the content format is unpredictable. The athlete added:
“Definitely think it’s a great form of entertainment and it’s easy and accessible, you can watch on your phone, you can watch it live, which is very rare, most stuff we watch is scripted.”
Ludwig reacted to Coco Gauff’s interview and said:
“omgomgomgomg crazy to think a fellow athlete watches”
Is Ludwig Ahgren a Professional Athlete?
When Ludwig called Coco Gauff a “fellow athlete,” it confused some of his fans. The streamer was joking in his tweet, but some people who saw his tweet were left wondering if he competes in professional sports.
While Ahgren is not an athlete, he participated in a chessboxing event. Chessboxing is a niche hybrid sport where two competitors compete in alternating rounds of chess and boxing. Ludwig’s “Mogul Chessboxing” event had over 550,000 live viewers, making it the most viewed chessboxing event of all time. The streamer reportedly spent $1.6 million on the event. His manager, “Slime,” said in a podcast:
“Guess what, we were really close (to profit). We didn’t hit it, but we were really close to hitting the green… Nick Wang messaged me last night, undercover, and he said, ‘Okay, true final numbers. Not in the green but super close.’ And I’m like that’s crazy.”
The event seemingly did not make a profit, but Ludwig wanted to continue creating more sporting events. Despite the streamer showing an interest, Mogul Chessboxing never returned. He told his viewers that sanctioning issues in the state of Nevada are blocking him from hosting more events.
