The following are some of the modes where you can play online with others.

  • Quick Play: There are a couple of different sub modes within Quick Play. The Pro Bowl and Play Now options are local co-op only. However, you can start the Superstar KO mode playthrough online. In this sub mode, you can create your own team by drafting players from various other teams.

  • Ultimate Team: Madden NFL 26 places great emphasis on the Ultimate Team mode. This one features various sub modes that support multiplayer gameplay, including Play a Friend, Tournaments, Events, and Challenges. In each of these sub modes, the goal is to create your own super team by drafting both current and past legendary players. Then, pit your super team against those of the other players to see who comes out on top.

  • Head to Head: This game mode has two separate options, namely, Play a Friend and Quick Match. The former is an online match where you play a friendly with another player. On the other hand, Quick Match is an online ranked mode, where your rank rises or dips based on your performance and the overall outcome of matches.

  • Franchise: Franchise Mode is one of the most intensive parts of Madden NFL 26. It allows you to choose a team and manage it through several seasons. You can choose to play the entirety of the mode online, which means you’ll face off against other teams that are being managed by real players.

The ability to choose whether you want to engage in multiplayer or just enjoy the solo experience is what is refreshing here. So, if you’re looking for truly competitive gameplay, challenge other players to a match through any of the above listed modes.
