Swimming in Mafia The Old Country
The swimming feature is not present in Mafia The Old Country, but you can still enter the water in certain ways. If you have Enzo walk on the port and lean over the edge, after a momentary wobble, he will fall straight into the water. Enzo will then be seen floating for a moment before teleporting back to the port.
This also means that Enzo does know how to swim, as jumping in the water does not kill him. When he teleports back to the port, you will notice that his clothes are wet from the jump, which is a neat little detail.
