Fast travel is a core feature of various games to help ease the strenuous task of travelling. In the game, you have the option to travel around using horses and cars. The world of Mafia The Old Country is pretty, but sometimes you may have the need to reach a particular place quickly. This is when Fast Travel comes in handy. Fast Travel in Mafia The Old Country
The Fast Travel feature is available for use when you open the map. The number of Fast Travel locations is limited during the initial stages of the game. But this will increase the more you progress through the game. Fast Travel is specifically useful if you wish to gather all the collectibles in the game or if you would like to explore the world.
Once you open your map, you will notice the Fast Travel points in certain areas with the symbol of two arrows facing downwards. Once you place your crosshair on those points, hold the prompted button, and you will teleport to that location. You will also notice that most of the collectibles, such as photographs and foxes, will be around the area of the Fast Travel.
Skip Drive and Skip Ride
Fast Travel, as useful as it is, cannot be used during any main campaign missions. As compensation, however, you are given the option to skip any of your car rides or horse rides. This will enable Enzo to directly teleport to the destination part of the travel with the click of a button.
This feature is only usable if the ride does not involve an important discussion or a chase sequence. But most of the rides that need to be done solo can be easily avoided with this simple trick. All you have to do is start your ride or drive and wait until a prompt appears to skip it. Hold the button and you will reach the location in an instant.
