Chapter 11 in Mafia The Old Country is named “Mattanza,” and it starts with a brief cutscene showcasing a conversation between Don Galante, Don Torrisi, and Baron Fontanella. During it, we witness a discussion over Don Torrisis’s method of running the town of Sicily, and its potential consequences.
After being enraged by Fontanella’s objections, Torrisi tries to storm off, but then agrees to meet Sapadaro at the end. Once the cutscene ends, Chapter 11 fully kicks off, and here is a comprehensive walkthrough of it.
Mattanza (Chapter 11) in Mafia The Old Country Overview
“Mattanza,” aka Chapter 11 in Mafia The Old Country, is filled with many action set pieces and tension-inducing moments. In this mission, we see Baron Fantanella and Don Galante trying to broker peace between the feuding Torrisi and Spadaro families.
We also see brief moments between Enzo and Isabella where they discuss their plan to ask for Don Torrisi’s permission and leave the world of the Mafia for good. However, the meeting between the two mobsters goes completely wrong, and death, conflict, and a cool chase sequence follow.
Drive to Tonnara
After the conversion between the three mobsters, Chapter 11 in Mafia The Old Country truly begins with yet another cutscene, this time between our protagonist Enzo Favara and Isabella Torrisi, the daughter of Don Torrisi. As they discuss Enzo’s plans to tell the mob boss about his involvement with his daughter, a vehicle horn quickly interrupts the couple, urging Favara to hurry up.
Once the cutscene ends, you take control of the main lead, and your first task is to talk to Cesare outside the gates of the mansion. As you approach him, he will ask you to find Luca before you can depart. To do that, simply go to the left of where Cesare is standing and take the two small flights of stairs down. There, you will hear Luca and Valentina talking near the tree right in front of you.
After that, take a short walk with Luca until you meet Tino. Once you have witnessed Tino’s disdain for the entire affair, simply walk past him and go straight. Shortly after, Don Torrisi will ask you to get in the car with him, Luca, and Cesare, and your drive to Tonnara to meet the Spadaro will begin. It is quite a long ride, but the beautiful Italian countryside will keep your eyes busy.
Escort Don Torrisi
Once you reach the place of the meeting in the town of Tonnara, Enzo, Don Torrisi, and Luca will go in while Cesare waits outside in case something goes wrong. Soon, you will meet Leo, who will take you to the room with Don Spadaro and Don Galante. After that, we see yet another cutscene where the three Dons discuss a settlement to bring peace to their respective territories.
As this meeting progresses, the tension keeps rising, with subtle hints of what is about the come next. Right after Torrisi’s outburst, the Baron and Spadaro leave the table. The moment they leave the room, the hidden motive of Spadaro becomes clear, and he launches a full ambush on Don Torrisi, Luca, and Enzo. Don Galante revives the first bullet in this conflict, straight in his head.
After that, Luca gets hit with a bullet to the stomach, and a full shootout breaks out between the two parties. Our protagonist and his remaining companions are left to fend for themselves, and then it becomes your job to ensure that they survive and escape from the hostile environment. Once you have cleared all the enemies in the meeting area and the upper floor, protect Torrisi while he checks on Luca in an empty room.
During this segment, you will also find out that Leo is getting suppressed by a Sniper. Reach the Sniper’s nest by catching him from behind. After you have dealt with the sharpshooter, prepare to take on more Spadaro enemies. After all your rival mafias are dead, follow Leo towards the exit.
The Chase Sequence
However, the mission is not over yet, since to reach Cesare and the truck, you will have to fight through yet another wave of enemies. After that, you will enter a chase sequence where you’ll have to shoot enemy drivers to stop their cars from following you.
Once you reach the bar, your task will be to protect it and finish off the remaining Spadara Mafioso while Torrisi and others take Luca inside. After you have cleared the last wave of enemies, go inside the bar to check on Luca and end Chapter 11, Mattanza in Mafia the Old Country.
