Mage Arena is now out, and the game allows you to live out all the thrills you felt when watching the Battle of Hogwarts. You play in two teams of four, and there’s no moment to rest as sparks light up the air with spells clashing.

There’s a lot of fun to be had in the game, but things are often so fast-paced that it can get stressful. This is doubly true when you’re trying to lead an assault and the enemy team simply jumps around like chickens, taking you all the way back to the glory days of Quake. If you’re tired of teams abusing the movement mechanics in this game, the Freeze spell is what you need to use.

The Freeze spell, as its name might suggest, freezes the enemies instantly. Caged in ice, the enemies are firmly planted on the ground and are easy pickings. We shall discuss the Freeze spell and how to use it in detail below.

As stated earlier, the Freeze spell is a spell that freezes enemies in place. You can use this spell by following the steps below:

  • Open your spellbook.
  • Turn over to the page with the Freeze spell.
  • Aim your cursor at the enemy you wish to freeze. We recommend aiming at their feet for the highest chance to freeze.
  • Shout “Freeze” into your microphone.

As soon as you follow these steps, your character will launch an ice ball of sorts that will freeze your opponents. The spell has a roughly 5-second cooldown, so you can use this spell freely with almost no restrictions.

The best way to use the Freeze spell is while attacking. Players tend to move around a lot to dodge certain spells, so Freeze will allow you to completely neuter this movement. Once they’re pinned to the ground, you can launch any spell at them freely to kill.
