Mage Arena pits you against mages in an arena (duh), and you have to battle it out to survive. The competition is fierce, but it can vary a lot from game to game. This is mainly because you face players with different skills and experience. But how do you check a player’s level of skill or experience in Mage Arena?

Mage Arena has a progression system that keeps track of player experience and performance. The Levels in Mage Arena keep track of how long you’ve played the game, while the Titles keep track of how good you are at the game. We shall discuss this in detail below.

As stated earlier, Levels are indicative of your experience, while Titles are for your performance. You level up in Mage Arena by simply playing the game. You earn experience by playing matches. The more you play, the more experience you get, and the faster you level up.

Titles, however, are not so easy to raise. Since they’re indicative of your performance, you need to win matches to raise your Title. Winning, therefore, is key to reaching the higher Titles. If you lose, however, you also run the risk of losing your Title and dropping lower.

While on paper, levels and titles may seem like a good indicator of how a player is, that is not always the case. A Level 58 Magus Prime may very well drop down to Archmage or lower, but a Level 20 Lackey could rise to higher Titles with ease if his team is on a winning streak. It all comes down to how well your team is doing, because that is what decides if you win or lose at the end of the day. Therefore, it is important to communicate and coordinate with your teammates in each game to stack up wins.
