Mage Arena is a PvP game where, instead of guns, you dish out damage using spells. Using spells is an absolute joy, and the map is always ripe with colors and particles from spells. The game follows most of the regular PvP conventions, where you spawn in with a team and have to fight the other team over objectives. What is unconventional, however, is the game’s respawn system.

How respawn works in traditional PvP games is – you fight, you die, you wait for a few seconds, and you’re back into the action. This is not how it works in Mage Arena, however. Mage Arena’s respawn system revolves around flag poles, and it can all be a bit complicated.

If you don’t understand how this system works, you can throw away matches without even knowing, so we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how the respawn system works in Mage Arena.

The respawn system in Mage Arena is tied to the flagpoles in your match. As you go about competing, you have to secure your flagpole throughout the match. You can only respawn if your flagpole is under your team’s control. If you lose your base and your flagpole, you won’t be able to respawn, and your team will be at a disadvantage. They’ll be stuck with limited lives, and should they die, too, you will lose the match.

Keeping this system in mind, it becomes extremely important to balance your team’s offense and defense. You simply cannot afford to leave your base open to assault. You have to balance out players and ensure your base is always protected. On the flip side, this also gives you the opportunity to control your enemy’s respawns. If you can gain control of their flag, you can limit their respawns and win the match.
