Mage Arena may be unique with its premise of shouting spells into mics, but it isn’t so much with its player behavior. Players tend to play exactly how you’d expect them to in PvP scenarios – relying on rushes, gank squads, ambushes, camping, and the like. Predicting their movements is hard, and doubly so if they mix and match strategies. But what if you could see what the enemy team was seeing? What if you could see their plans and see campers in advance? The Orb is your tool to do so.

The Orb is a craftable item that allows you to see exactly what your enemies are seeing for a short period of time. Think of the Orb like a spectator cam after death. You can see what your enemies are looking at and then relay the information to your own team. There’s a ton you can do with the Orb, and we shall discuss it in this article.

You have to craft the Orb before you can use it, and you can do so by following the steps below:

  • Acquire 2x Crystals. You can find these while exploring the map during matches.
  • Bring the Crystals back to base and interact with the Crafting Table
  • Combine the two Crystals to craft the Orb item.
  • Add it to your inventory for use.

Once you have the item, you can equip it from your inventory and activate it to use it. As soon as you do so, you’ll be able to see things from another player’s perspective. This will show you what they’re looking at and will give you an idea of the play they’re about to make. You must then relay this information to your teammates so they can react accordingly.  To make the most of the Orb, you must have good knowledge of the maps you play on. This will give you a better sense of the enemy’s location when you switch to their POV.
