Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, a game featuring both Captain America and Black Panther, has now been delayed to 2026.
GTA 6 is not the only game that got delayed to 2026. Recently, Skydance Games made an announcement stating that their upcoming game, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, which was slated for a 2025 release, has been delayed to next year.
It seems that it was no longer possible to launch a polished version of the game within this window. Here is everything to know about the delay.

The delay was announced by Skydance Games on their official X account. Late 2025 was the original release window of the game. However, with the above announcement that was made yesterday, we can see that the new time frame is somewhere in early 2026.
This will likely put the release window sometime between January – April. The reason for the delay is attributed to needing more time to polish and deliver the best possible version of the game. Hopefully, this extra time allows the final product to be worth the wait for the fans.
When Can We Expect More Updates On Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra?
Skydance’s recent priority seems to be patching and updating their latest game, Behemoth. As soon as that is polished, we can expect Marvel 1943 to become the next major focus.
Since the release window is early 2026 for now, we can likely expect another trailer, which would perhaps showcase some gameplay later this year. Currently, the game will feature four playable characters. Thus, all four characters will need separate skills and moves to make them unique to play.
Seeing Spider-Man’s success and Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine game, it is likely that other Marvel characters will make their way onto the gaming scene. However, till this game releases, you can try to hop into Marvel Rivals and pick Captain America or Black Panther.
