The Thing has some cool skins in Marvel Rivals. As a result, you may find it difficult to pick the one for the next time you want to clobber your enemies. Don’t worry, though. We are here to help you decide your next cosmetic pick for The Thing with the help of this tier list we have prepared. When Marvel Rivals adds more costumes, we will keep adding them to the ranked list.

The following costumes are eligible for this ranked tier list:

  • Default
  • Trench Coat
  • First Family

Kindly note that we do not criticize the makers or ridicule those who use the skins in the lower tiers. The ranked list represents the writer’s opinions and doesn’t reflect any objective truth about these skins. The tiers start at S, the highest rank, and gradually decrease as we move down.

Since costumes are considered Cosmetics in the game, they don’t serve any purpose other than looking good on a character. So, the only criteria for judging these skins was their looks.

S-Tier The Thing Skin in Marvel Rivals

A classic from the early comic book Fantastic Four (1961) #1, this Trench Coat looks great on The Thing in Marvel Rivals. Ben Grimm first wore it when he wanted to conceal himself after the cosmic accident that gave him his powers. Back then, when he hadn’t accepted his fate, it was a curse for him.

Although this classic look has a heartbreaking backstory, we can’t argue that The Thing looks “fantastic” in it! The details on his outfit and the accessories make him look like a mysterious monstrosity. Plus, the hat looks too stylish to ignore.

Players looking to own this skin for the Vanguard hero can do so by spending 1400 Units. On the other hand, they can also spend 1600 Units for the entire bundle.

Another classic look from the comic book Fantastic Four (1961) #3. By this time, Ben Grimm had a better acceptance of his appearance compared to the first issue in the series. Not a lot of clothes would fit him, but to appear intimidating as ever, he decided to show off his “rock-hard” muscles anyway. He was then given this short.

I like this old “First Family” color scheme on The Thing because darker colors really stand out on his body. Players can acquire this costume for 600 Units only because it is a reskin of the default look.

The reason why this skin is in this tier is simply because it looks too simple compared to Ben Grimm’s humorous personality. Despite his circumstances, he doesn’t fail to slip in those jokes every now and then, which makes him feel human regardless of his appearance.

However, this default skin looks slightly lifeless on him. The white and light blue combo doesn’t suit him well. However, the good part about this skin is that it’s free!
