How To Play Blade in Marvel Rivals

Blade’s Mobility
As a close-to-mid-range duelist, Blade needs to be fast on his feet. Thankfully, with the help of Daywalker Dash, he can move in and out of fights pretty easily. This ability makes him dash forward wherever he is facing. Even though Blade is a master of close combat, not every situation is ideal for him, and with the dash, he can get to a safe distance. On top of that, he gets two charges of Daywalker Dash, so he can chain different combos.
Blade’s Survivability
Our vampire hunter has a base health of 350, and his kit provides good sustainability which makes him hard to kill. After activating his Bloodline Awakening ability, Blade gets a damage boost as well as lifesteal. The lifesteal keeps him alive during most of the fight. However, after activating this ability, he gets reduced healing from supports, which can be a little annoying depending on the situation. In conclusion, Blade has good survivability on the battlefield.

Blade’s Playstyle and Combos
If you like having close to mid-range fights, then Blade is the perfect choice in Marvel Rivals. This hero has two weapons: a sword and a shotgun. Even though it’s a shotgun, this gun does more damage from afar. The shotgun shells spread after travelling 8 meters, and you can deal good damage with this gun.
We recommend using the Bloodline Awakening ability if you want to close in and attack with the sword. This ability enhances normal M1 attacks, and each hit increases his attack speed. The best way to play with Blade is to inflict some damage with the shotgun and kill the opponent with the sword for a stylish finish.
Best Team Composition With Blade in Marvel Rivals

Blade is a brawler who likes to enter a fight without invitation. He can bring good output when paired with good divers. With that in mind, the following team composition is recommended:
- The Thing
- Venom
- Blade
- Moon Knight
- Cloak & Dagger
- Luna Snow
You can switch The Thing with Doctor Strange to fortify the objective if things get bad. Moreover, any long-range DPS like Hela, Hawkeye, and Black Widow can replace Moon Knight. Lastly, play whatever hero makes you and your team comfortable, depending on the map and situation.
Blade Counters in Marvel Rivals
No one is safe in this game, as every hero has someone who counters them very easily. When it comes to Blade, any hero with good long-range DPS can bring him down in an instant. You can use heroes like Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hela, Punisher, and Psylocke to kill Blade swiftly. If you are experienced with dive heroes, then it’s just a test of skills.
Tips and Tricks to Play Blade in Marvel Rivals

Blade has a very interesting kit, and these tips and tricks will help you get better results in a game of Marvel Rivals:
- Blade is the first hero in Marvel Rivals who can apply the healing reduction status. You can use this passive to eliminate supports. Use his ultimate paired with Groot’s ultimate to create a support killer combination.
- Try to use the Bloodline Awakening ability before heading into the combat to inflict massive damage. Moreover, this ability is very effective against vanguards, as they can help in charging Blade’s attack speed faster.
- The blocking mechanic of Blade is simple, and you should use it to block fatal damage. Additionally, during the first few frames, this ability can stop any CC ability, which can help in creating some wonderful plays.
- When using Blade’s ultimate, try to at least charge it for two seconds to cover the maximum area. His ultimate also inflicts healing reduction, so you can use it to counter almost every healer ultimate.
