After a content-packed debut season, Marvel Rivals just announced Season 2: Hellfire Gala as the next big update. The upcoming season will feature new heroes, maps, and fresh new rewards in the Battle Pass. Season 2, however, appears to be smaller in terms of content than the first. Nonetheless, it still features enough content to keep you busy.

What is the Marvel Rivals Season 2 Release Date

The upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala will arrive on April 11, 2025, at 1:00 AM PST. The time is based on the countdown before the conclusion of Season 1 and what the trailer revealed.

NetEase has yet to reveal any information on how the content gets released in the game. If we base it on previous seasons, Season 2 content may be split into two updates.

Based on the reveal trailer, the two new Marvel Rivals heroes or villains arriving in the game for Season 2 are Emma Frost and Ultron. It’s still unknown who gets to arrive first in the game. However, based on the order in which they appear in the reveal trailer, Emma Frost might be released first. Ultron could follow Frost’s appearance in the second half of the season. 

Previous leaks and speculations have already hinted at the release of Emma Frost and Ultron. Community discussions suggest that Emma Frost is a Vanguard who can reinforce a character’s skin, possibly reducing or nullifying damage. Ultron, on the other hand, appears to be a Strategist who can heal allies.

New Season 2 Skins

According to the Season 2 trailer, it seems that the next season revolves around an event known as the Hellfire Gala. The event is an annual celebration held in Krakoa where all mutants can attend. However, Ultron shows up and spoils the party.

Looking at the reveal trailer, these heroes might receive a new skin in the upcoming season:
