The festive season has arrived and Marvel Rivals is jumping on the bandwagon with its new Winter Celebration event. For a game that just released a few weeks back, a brand new event was unexpected. That said, the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event has new winter-themed skins and a new game mode with multiple Jeffs (yay!).

Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration Event: Release Date
The Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event releases on December 20, 2024. Since it is related to the season of festivities, it is expected to be live for at least a week. During this while, you will be able to get new winter-themed skins for various heroes and also play a new game mode.
New Skins in Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration Event
The Winter Celebrations event in Marvel Rivals brings new skins for five characters:
- Jeff the Land Shark – The adorable land shark is sporting snow goggles, earmuffs, a scarf, and even a jacket.
- Venom – Venom has donned the element of ice, and his new skin is similar to that of a Frost Giant.
- Groot – Is it a Christmas tree? Is it a reindeer? Or is it a combination of both? We don’t know, but we want it anyway!
- Rocket Raccoon – Futuristic goggles and casual winter wear: Rocket Raccoon looks like the cool space raccoon that he is.
- Magik – Magik’s costume is fairly normal when compared to others, but it perfectly portrays the casual winter wear that you will normally wear.
One or more of these skins will be free, as mentioned in the official trailer. However, no other information is available on these.
Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration New Game Mode: Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival
You will also be able to play in a new Jeff-only game mode in the Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration event, titled Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival. In this game mode, you get to play as Jeff in a 2v2 match, where all other players are also Jeffs!
The exact details of the game mode are unknown, but it seems to be a hilarious one that will likely see all players spend a lot of time.
