Calcium in Megabonk is one of the most unique characters we’ve seen in any game all year. This character is a skeleton on a skateboard that rides the board all over the arena, using its bones to dish out damage to enemies.

At a glance, Calcium may seem like a character with a low potential. Simply run around the arena and attack enemies. But pair him up with the right weapon and Tomes, and you can exponentially spike up his damage, essentially making him Super Sonic on a skateboard. If you’re just starting out with this character and need help making a build, this guide is for you.

Best Weapons and Tomes for Calcium in Megabonk

The best weapon for Calcium is the Bone weapon. The weapon fits the character both thematically and mechanically, hitting rows of enemies like a boomerang. The Bone bounces off enemies, making it the perfect weapon for handling swarms. You can also use a Sniper Rifle to pick fights from a distance. Both weapons are great, and it’s your playstyle that dictates what you pick.

As far as Tomes go, we want to max out Calcium’s speed and damage. Speed because Calcium’s passive ability scales his damage with speed, making Tomes such as the Agility Tome an ideal pick. If you’re using the Bone weapon, we recommend bringing the Bloody Tome. This Tome will Lifesteal and grant you 1 HP for each enemy hit, which is perfect when the Bone bounces around between enemies.

You can enhance this further with the Quantity Tome to increase your projectile count. Lastly, we suggest bringing in the Damage Boost Tome to amplify your damage.

How To Play Calcium in Megabonk

Calcium moves around on a skateboard, hinting that you tap into the character’s agility. The character’s passive scales damage based on agility. So you want to constantly move around the arena. Throw your Bone or fight from a distance using your Sniper Rifle, but keep moving at all times.

The real challenge when playing Calcium is to move around without taking damage. Taking damage negatively affects your passive, so you constantly want to move away from, or adjacent to, the swarms. Don’t run into them like you would with Megachad or Sir Oofie
