In this guide, we shall go over how to unlock Dice in Megabonk, one of the strongest mechanics in the game.
Dice is one of the stronger mechanics in Megabonk, and it allows you to improve your chance of landing critical hits. While that may not seem very useful early on, especially with the lower HP of early-game enemies, it becomes a lifesaver as you progress into the mid and late game of any run.
As useful as Dice may seem, unlocking it is quite a headache, especially since the process of doing so is tied to the Luck Tome. If you’re constantly falling right before the finish line of a run, Dice is what you need. If you don’t know how to unlock it, this guide is for you.

You unlock Dice by upgrading the Luck Tome 12 times in any given run, after which the item is unlocked permanently. When we say permanent, we mean it, because the item persists through all runs once you unlock it.
While the task of upgrading the Luck Tome seems fairly manageable, you first have to unlock the Luck Tome itself. To do so, you must destroy 20 Vases. As soon as you begin your run, seek out and destroy 20 Vases across the map. This will unlock the Luck Tome, which will then appear in your upgrade pool. However, the chances of the Luck Tome appearing in your pool also depend on RNG, so keep trying until you get the item.
Once you get your hands on it, level it up 12 times. To make leveling up easier, we recommend using the XP Tome. This will boost the XP you earn, which in turn will make you level up faster. Unlocking Dice can be a frustrating grind, but we recommend pushing through since the item is well worth the effort.
