In this guide, we’ll explore all of the Battery locations in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, and what the batteries do.

If you’re playing the game for the first time, you should know about all the fixed battery locations in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater. The game requires you to find these batteries because most of Snake’s high-tech gear relies on batteries to power it. So, when they run out of power, you can simply switch the batteries out with fresh ones, only if you have them.
While you can gain batteries from alternate sources, there are three fixed locations where you’ll find batteries without fail in every playthrough. In the following guide, we’ll learn about these locations and other ways to get batteries.
All Fixed Battery Locations in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater
The following table lists the three locations in the game where you’ll find one battery each in every playthrough.
Battery Number | Location |
---|---|
Battery 1 | Head to the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch after the Ocelot boss fight. Just after that battle, you’ll end up in a chamber. Make sure to stick to the west side of this chamber to find a path. Follow the path, and then swim in some water until you reach land. This leads you to a small area with the battery. |
Battery 2 | For this one, go to the Graniny Gorki Lab B1 West. Get past the guard station in the area and enter a lounge room. It leads to a control room with several terminals, and behind one of them is the battery. |
Battery 3 | The final battery you can find is in the Groznyj Grad Underground Tunnel. Head down the staircase toward the arena where The Fury boss fight happens. From here, turn right to spot an explosive red barrel. Trigger the explosion to reveal a pathway behind where the barrel was. The final battery is inside this room, alongside other items. |

More Ways To Get Batteries

Apart from the fixed locations, you can also grab batteries by holding up guards when you sneak up to them. When doing so, the guards drop random items, and some of them will give you batteries. However, there aren’t any fixed guards to try this move on when you are running low on batteries. You just have to keep trying and hope to find a guard that gives you the batteries you need.
Alternate Ways To Charge Battery-Operated Items

Even after all that, you might run out of batteries and the charge in some of your gadgets. In such cases, you can use Russian Glowcaps, which are specialized green mushrooms growing in the wild, to provide a minimal amount of charge to the items.
