  • Dolinovodno during the Virtuous Mission.
  • Graniny Gorki Lab
  • Groznyj Grad Northwest

The first time you can get the assault rifle is during the opening mission, Virtuous Mission. From the bridge that leads to Rassvet, head down and explore the underside of the bridge to find the weapon. In Graniny Gorki Lab, you can find one in the armory.

Lastly, if you missed the XM16E1 at the Graniny Gorki Lab, you can find one in a storage room in Groznyj Grad Northwest. It is on the northern side and will not be hard to miss.
