Learn everything about the PC system requirements of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 to make sure it runs perfectly on your device.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is easily one of the most visually impressive games of 2024. For anyone familiar with 2020’s Microsoft Flight Simulator, the latest title’s visual prowess shouldn’t come as a surprise. Although 2020’s Microsoft Flight Simulator was released as a cross-generation title, it still offered a stellar graphical presentation on par with some of the best current-generation Xbox exclusives.
Naturally, with the latest title, developer Team Asobo is raising the bar for graphical fidelity once again. However, with the latest Flight Simulator being a current-gen exclusive, the game does boast some pretty beefy PC system requirements.
Not only is the game heavy on CPU and GPU resources, but it also demands significant system memory. Unlike most current-gen titles that recommend 16 GB of RAM, Microsoft Flight Simulator’s recommended memory requirement is 32 GB. Here’s a look at the official PC system requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
What Are Microsoft Flight Simulator PC System Requirements
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, much like its predecessor, is mostly CPU-dependent. The recommended CPU for the game is a Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core i7-10700K equivalent. Although both the 2700X and 10700K are older chips, they are still counted among the higher-end CPU tiers.
In terms of GPU, the game is a bit lenient, recommending an RTX 2080 or RX 5700 XT equivalent. Based on the GPU requirements, it seems the game should run perfectly fine on most modern mid-range graphics cards with at least 8 GB VRAM. While the CPU and GPU requirements aren’t anything too outrageous, the same cannot be said for the RAM requirement.
That said, here’s the official minimum and recommended requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024:
