Monster Hunter Wilds is a challenging game to run at 4K resolution. Thanks to its hefty system requirements, you would require super high-end hardware to play at true 4K. However, with the settings below, which incorporate upscaling and our optimizations, we are making 4k accessible to upper mid-range cards. Below are the settings to refer to.

Please note that the GPU power we recommend in this case is around the RTX 4080 Super, AMD RX 9070 XT / RX 7900 XTX territories. If you have a card like the RTX 4090/5080/5090, then you will have a great time.

On Nvidia cards, we recommend using the stock DLSS and not overriding it, as the anti-cheat may flag it. For AMD, FSR 4 could be modded similarly, specifically for RDNA 3 cards. We recommend sticking to the safer driver override, exclusive to RDNA 4 cards only.

If you are experiencing traversal stutters or encountering low frame rates, such as 1% and 1% frame rates. We recommend capping your frame rate. This temporary workaround should resolve the traversal stutters and smooth out the frame time graph. RTSS or Steam overlay helps you monitor these frame time statistics and make necessary decisions.

You can use these settings as a starting point and adjust accordingly. With the RTX 4090 and higher-tier GPUs, you can increase the visuals and still get a decent frame rate. Sky Quality, Cloud Quality, and Tree Quality are good starting points, and you can set them to high or ultra, whichever suits your requirements.
