In this guide, we shall go over where to find Dapperwings in Monster Hunter World and how to capture them.

The world of Monster Hunter Wilds is diverse, and nothing reflects this diversity more so than its monsters. It is this very diversity that Samin sets out to explore in the “Samin’s Research Report” side quest in the game. His search eventually leaves him wanting for the Dapperwings, special Endemic Life creatures. This is where you come into the equation.
Samin needs these creatures for his research but is having significant trouble finding them. These creatures reside within the Scarlet Forest region of the game but are tough to spot.
If you’re looking for these Endemic Life creatures and can’t seem to find them or don’t know how to capture them, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over where to find Dapperwings in Monster Hunter Wilds and how to capture them.

Where To Find Dapperwings in Monster Hunter Wilds

As stated earlier, the Dapperwings reside in the Scarlet Forest region of Monster Hunter Wilds. While these creatures are spread across most of this region, we’ve found them to be in higher concentration in Scarlet Forest areas 12, 13, 14, and 17.
We recommend heading to the Scarlet Forest area 13 and then moving your way up to 14 across the vines. As you go up, keep your eyes locked on the trees along your path. You will find birds seated atop the branches. These are the Dapperwings that Samin has been seeking.
If you don’t find them among the trees, look out for the broken tree at the very start of the area. These birds blend in well so it may take a few retakes for you to notice them among the trees.

How To Capture Dapperwings in Monster Hunter Wilds
Once you spot the Dapperwings hiding among the trees and branches, it is time to capture them for Samin. You require a Capture Net to capture these Endemic Life creatures. Equip the Capture Net and aim it at the Dapperwings on the tree by pressing L2/LT.
The game will display a square box which will show you the area of capture. Place the birds within the square and shoot the hook slinger by pressing R2. You will then have captured the Dapperwings.
