Everything you need to know about the new quest completion animations in Monster Hunter Wilds and how to change them.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ title update 3 comes jam-packed with new features and content additions. Although the spotlight this time around is on the Final Fantasy 14 collaboration and Omega Planetes, TU3 also adds some really cool other features to the game that should not be overlooked. One such new feature is the ability to change the “priority” of quest completion animations.
Furthermore, you can also now take control of which animation is played after completing a hunting quest. This feature makes grinding endgame monsters a bit more refreshing as you don’t have to sit through the same animation every time. However, changing the animation priority is a bit tricky.
Here’s everything you need to know about the quest completion animations in Monster Hunter Wilds and how to change them.

How To Unlock Quest Completion Animations in Monster Hunter Wilds?

By default, you have access to 8 different quest completion animations. These are randomly triggered in-game, whenever certain conditions are met. For instance, if you complete a quest with your Palico deployed, you will get Pet Palico, Pick up Palico, and Feed Me Too! animations more often. Furthermore, the same goes for other factors like Alma or the Seikret.
That said, if you want to spice up your quest completion celebrations, you can also purchase new “animations.” There are currently two new quest completion animations that have been added with TU3, one involving Alma and the other involving Gemma.
The only caveat for those new animations is that they are paid DLCs. Furthermore, the DLCs are $5 a pop and can be used after you update the game to 1.03.

How To Change Quest Completion Animations in Monster Hunter Wilds?

To change the quest completion animations, follow these steps:
- Make sure your game is updated to 1.030.00. Versions before 1.03 aren’t compatible with the new quest completion animations.
- Once the game is updated, head to the tents of any of your Base Camps or Pop-up Camps.
- Within the tent, navigate to Quest Menu > Quest Completion Animations.
- Under Quest Completion Animations, you can select the priority of animations or even limit it to just one.
Do note that the new (paid DLC) animations don’t have any prerequisites to trigger. Those can be used as your default quest completion animations, even if Alma or Gemma aren’t near the Hunter when defeating a monster.
