Everything you need to know about Alma’s Summer Poncho, the new outfit that comes as part of the Flamefete Festival in Monster Hunter Wilds.

With the arrival of the Flamefete Festival, Monster Hunter Wilds has received a major cosmetic glow-up in the form of new festival-themed decorations and mini-games. Much like the Blossomdance Festival, Flamefete comes with a plethora of exclusive rewards and Event Quests for players to sink their teeth into.
However, chief among the new content is easily the outfits that are available not only for the Hunter but also for their allies. Similar to the previous Festival of Accord, Flamefete comes with an exclusive outfit for Alma: the Summer Poncho. It’s a festival-themed outfit for the Handler, celebrating the onset of the summer season.
While the Summer Poncho is currently available as a temporary cosmetic option for Alma, there’s a way to get it added to your inventory permanently. Here’s everything you need to know about Alma’s Summer Poncho in Monster Hunter Wilds and how to obtain it.
How To Unlock Alma’s Summer Poncho in Monster Hunter Wilds

To equip Alma’s Summer Poncho, you simply need to boot the game up during the ongoing Flamefete Festival. Once you start the game, you need to head to the Grand Hub, where you will get a notification regarding the Festival of Accord. It should be noted that to get access to the Grand Hub, you need to reach Hunter Rank (HR) 34.
Within the Grand Hub, you will find new festival-themed decorations and also Event Quests. To change Alma’s outfit, simply head to your Pop-Up Camp within the Grand Hub and talk to her. After talking to Alma, you will receive another notification informing you about the new outfit. From there, simply select Change Outfit.
You can easily switch between Alma’s default and Summer Poncho outfits via the Customization tab in the Pop-Up Camp. That said, it should be noted that the Summer Poncho is only available until the Flamefete Festival ends on August 6, 2025. After the Flamefete Festival is over, you will lose access to the new outfit.
However, if you want to keep the Summer Poncho in your inventory permanently, you can purchase it as a DLC. The Summer Poncho is available as a standalone DLC for $5.99.
Additionally, the outfit can be bought as part of the Flamefete DLC Pack, which retails for $21.99.
Is Alma’s Summer Poncho Worth Buying?
Since you already get to try out the outfit for free, it’s not worth paying $6 for the Summer Poncho. However, if you’re enjoying Monster Hunter Wilds, buying the DLC is a great way to show your support for the game. That said, if you’re on the fence, we recommend not buying the outfit. Instead, it’s best to spend your money on the Flamefete-exclusive Seikret skin, which isn’t available to try for free during the festival.
