With the latest title update, Capcom added a ton of new features to Monster Hunter Wilds. Most of these new features address the major requests from the community. Since the game’s release, one of the biggest complaints most players had with Monster Hunter Wilds was the lack of a worthwhile endgame loop. On some level, the Tempered Investigations and TU 1 and 2 monsters serve that purpose. However, they don’t necessarily have a compelling “endgame” grind that players are looking for.

Thankfully, with the latest update, Capcom finally added a new tier of Tempered Monsters. And these new monsters also come with their own exclusive rewards, i.e., the Glowing Stone. However, unlike the Artian Parts, Glowing Stones are vastly different resources, which can be used to alter your builds substantially. Here’s everything you need to know about the Glowing Stones in Monster Hunter Wilds and how to obtain them.

How To Get Glowing Stones in Monster Hunter Wilds

Glowing Stones are essentially part of the newly added 9 Star Investigation Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds. With update 1.021, Capcom added the new 9 Star Investigations, which will show up for players who are at HR 100 or above. That said, it should be noted that the 9 Star Investigations are currently limited to Apex and Title Update Monsters.

Once you complete a 9 Star Quest, you will receive Glowing Stones as completion rewards. The Glowing Stones are essentially appraisal items, which convert into Talismans upon completing a quest. However, unlike the regular Talismans that can be crafted using monster parts, the Glowing Stone Talismans are significantly more powerful.

Similar to Decorations, the 9 Star hunts reward you with these RNG Talismans, which offer multiple Skills as well as additional Decoration slot(s). Much like the regular Talismans, the 9 Star Talismans are of different Rarities, starting with Rarity 5 and going up to Rarity 7. The Rarity 7 Talismans come equipped with three Skills, which cover both Weapons and Armor. This effectively gives you more headroom to experiment with builds and increase the potency of certain weapons beyond their base damage or Affinity.

How To Farm Glowing Stones

You can get Glowing Stones organically by completing the 9 Star Investigations. However, the best way to farm these RNG Talismans is to farm Investigations with multiple targets. For 9 Star hunts, you will usually get two Apex Monsters in a single quest. However, we recommend taking on the Investigations that have a single Apex and a regular Tempered Monster. The latter quests can be completed much faster and yield the same amount of Glowing Stones as the former. You can also hunt 9 Star Monsters that you are most experienced with, based on your weapon.
