Everything you need to know about the new Event Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds, featuring the Arch-tempered Nu Udra, and how to unlock it.
Arch-tempered Nu Udra has finally made its debut in Monster Hunter Wilds, alongside the new Dreamspell Season of Accord. Similar to past Arch-tempered monsters, AT Nu Udra is meant to be an endgame challenge. Although the monster doesn’t have any new weapons associated with it, AT Nu Udra does come with a new Gamma set, perfect for those endgame Great Sword builds.
That said, getting access to the Arch-tempered Nu Udra quest comes with some major prerequisites. Here’s everything you need to know about the Arch-tempered Nu Udra quest in Monster Hunter Wilds, and how to unlock it.
How To Unlock Arch-Tempered Nu Udra Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
Arch-tempered Nu Udra comes as part of an Event Quest during the Dreamspell Season of Accord. The Season of Accord is live from October 22, 2025, to November 12, 2025. That said, while Dreamspell is time-limited, the Arch-tempered quest isn’t. Similar to AT Rey Dau and Uth Duna, AT Nu Udra will be added as a permanent Event Quest, albeit at a later date.
As for the quest’s prerequisites, it’s basically identical to past Arch-tempered monster quests, albeit with a higher HR requirement. You need to have reached HR 100 to start the quest, which means you need to complete the High Rank campaign (unlocks HR past HR41) and also grind your Hunter Rank until you reach HR 100.
Additionally, the quest has a 50-minute time limit. Now, to access the quest, you need to basically make sure your game is updated with Title Update 3 and you’re connected to the internet. From there, simply follow these steps to start the Arch-tempered Nu Udra quest:
- Head to one of the Pop-up Camps or your Tent in the Grand Hub.
- Talk to Alma and navigate to the Event Quests tab.
- Under Event Quests, look for the quest – Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame.
- If you meet the necessary requirements, you will be able to start the quest.
- You can also use the SOS feature to join an active multiplayer session for the quest.

- Difficulty: 9-star difficulty.
- Monster strength: 3-diamond strength
