Scarlet Forest just became a lot more dangerous as Arch-tempered Uth Duna makes its appearance as a limited-time hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds. This is the second Arch-tempered Apex monster to appear after Arch-tempered Rey Dau made its debut earlier in April 2025. Uth Duna by default is a tough monster, and its Tempered variant is a challenging fight as well. This Arch-tempered variant is stronger still, marked by an orange outline in the monster icon. It can easily cart you with a single attack if you are not careful enough.
Arch-tempered Uth Duna will be available as a special Event Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds from July 22, 2025, till August 5, 2025, during the Flamefete Festival. - Talk to Alma or simply head to the Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub and talk to Lotto.
- Select the Post/Join a Quest option on the next menu.
- Locate and select the Event Quests section.
- Select the quest titled These Roots Run Deep.
- You can start this quest immediately or prepare for it and then depart.
You need to be at least HR 50 in order to access the Arch-tempered Uth Duna quest in Monster Hunter Wilds. If you are at a lower Hunter Rank, you need to complete some other hunts and quests and raise your overall level before tackling this tough behemoth.
Arch-tempered Uth Duna is a very tough hunt, so you should prepare for it instead of just departing without a second thought. Check your map to see if you have any meal invitations since this can provide you with a very good buff for the upcoming fight.
