Arch-tempered monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds offer a great way for players to expand their endgame roster of builds. Although the Arch-tempered monsters don’t offer any new weapons, they do come with the unique γ armor sets. And while you might dismiss the Gamma sets as just a recolored version of High Rank sets, they do come with some pretty impressive skills.
The same is true for the newest Arch-tempered monster, Nu Udra. The Nu Udra γ (Gamma) armor set comes with some very powerful skills, which, while not useful for all weapon types, certainly help with specific builds. Furthermore, even if you don’t want to use the set for your build, it’s still worth crafting just to get access to the Layered Armor.

Is Nu Udra γ Armor Set Worth Crafting in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Yes, the Nu Udra γ set is definitely worth crafting, albeit with a major caveat. Outside of weapons like Sword and Shield, Charge Blade, Dual Blades, and Bow, the Nu Udra γ set isn’t all that useful. The primary skills offered by the set are – Resentment, Burst, Counterstrike, and Speed Eating. All these skills are best used for the aforementioned weapons.
You technically can use some of these skills on other weapons like Great Sword, Switch Axe, Hammer, etc. However, you can just find better armor options for these weapons, such as the Uth Duna γ or the Arkvulcan set.
How To Craft the Nu Udra γ (Gamma) Armor Set?
To craft the Nu Udra γ (Gamma) set, you need to defeat Arch-tempered Nu Udra, which is obvious for a γ set. However, it should be noted that most of the parts needed for the armor set can be obtained from the regular or Tempered Nu Udra as well. The only exclusive part needed for the γ set is the Nu Udra Certificate γ. And that comes exclusively from AT NU Udra.
Thankfully, you don’t need more than 5 Nu Udra γ Certificates for the whole set. As such, you will only technically need to fight Arch-tempered Nu Udra five times. However, you can fast forward the process with skills like Carver or Lucky Meal. These skills increase the chances of getting multiple γ Certificates from a single hunt.
