In this article, we give an in-depth explanation of how to navigate through the Endless Mode works in Monster Train 2.

Big Fan Games’ sequel to the acclaimed deckbuilding roguelike series Monster Train has made a return. Monster Train 2 has similar gameplay mechanics compared to its prequel, with its own unique twists.
The gameplay revolves around protecting a pyre on the top floor of your four-floored train. Hordes of enemies will constantly try to break in on every turn from the bottom floor and will attempt to make their way to the pyre.
The combat takes place in a turn-based manner, with the enemies telegraphing their moves before attacking. This gives rise to different approaches and strategies with each turn as the enemies come closer.
Monster Train 2’s Endless Mode also offers a variety of ways to test out your current deck, allowing you to challenge the armies of Heaven. Endless Mode provides extreme replayability for players who want to continue their run after completing the campaign at Seraph.

How Endless Mode Works
As the name suggests, in Endless Mode, you battle against an endless horde of enemies as long as you keep your Pyre Heart ablaze. Between battles, instead of riding to different nodes, you must choose between two modifiers before continuing your endless run.
Each modifier has both a positive and a negative perk. While the positive perks provide buffs similar to those in a normal run, the negative perks add permanent Curses, forcing you to think on your feet.
Chosen Enemies

In your Endless runs, you will also encounter new Chosen Enemies that have higher stats compared to their basic versions. Although Chosen Enemies can appear in normal runs as well, they are more frequent here, so prepare accordingly.
Finally, always be on your feet because, compared to normal mode, enemies in Endless Mode also scale constantly after each battle. This increases their overall health, damage, and armor, raising the difficulty of the run even further.
