MrBeast’s fiancé, Thea Booysen holds a bachelor’s degree in law, an honors degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in neuropsychology.

Jimmy “MrBeast” recently announced his engagement with his girlfriend Thea Booysen. At 27 years old, Thea holds several academic degrees. Fans were quick to point out the academic qualifications of Thea. Thea has been vocal about her interest in human psychology. Her qualifications highlight her interest in understanding human psychology.

Thea studied for her bachelor’s and honors degrees at Stellenbosch University located in South Africa. She graduated from Stellenbosch with a bachelor’s degree in law. She then pursued an honors degree in psychology. In November 2024, Thea graduated with a master’s degree in human cognitive neuropsychology.

During the Wide Awake Podcast, Thea mentioned that she does not know where she will end up with the degrees. However, she mentioned that she studied law to help out her community in South Africa. She also stated that she wanted to work abroad and that a law degree would be a great help to pursue a career outside of her home country.

However, due to the knowledge of law being limited to the country she studied in, Thea decided to pursue psychology. She later expressed interest in studying the biology of the human brain to enhance her knowledge of the human psychology. Neuropsychology piqued her interest as it mixed biology and psychology of humans together.

Apart from her academic talents, Thea is a published author. She wrote a book titled ‘The Marked Children’ which also dives into human psychology although it is based on science fiction. Booysen had also mentioned that she and MrBeast had a chat about human psychology. Thea stated that Jimmy’s interest and ability to keep up a conversation of a subject of Thea’s liking was attractive.

Thea has a channel named ‘More Than Human’ where she uploads informative videos about human psychology. On an X post highlighting Thea’s qualifications, MrBeast jokingly commented that his mother would think of him as a failure.

Thea Booysen’s Degrees Explored

Bachelor’s Degree in Law

The first degree that Thea graduated with, was a law degree. Booysen stated that she pursued law for her community in South Africa. She also mentioned that knowing your rights and exercising them is necessary. A law degree makes you aware of your rights and how to use them, she further elaborated.

Thea also stated that she had plans to pursue a career abroad in law. However, she stated that her knowledge of law is limited to South Africa, and it acted as an anchor for her.

Honors Degree in Psychology

Thea mentioned that in order to pursue a career abroad, she chose psychology as a subject of interest. Booysen expressed her interest in human psychology. In the Wide Awake Podcast, she stated that she first met MrBeast to study his psychological behavior.

She pursued an honors degree in psychology from the reputed Stellenbosch University located in Stellenbosch, South Africa. She had planned to pursue a master’s degree right after her honors. However, due to complications in the visa process, she did not go ahead until 2024.

Master of Science Degree in Neuropsychology

Thea Booysen planned to do a master’s degree in Scotland. However, due to visa complications her plans did not go in motion. She later pursued a master’s degree in the University of Edinburgh. At 27 years old, Thea graduated with a Master of Science degree in human cognitive neuropsychology.
