Unlock higher earnings with the right mutations in My Singing Brainrot. Learn when to act, what to collect and how to use events.

Mutations in My Singing Brainrot are your main ticket to multiplying earnings and speeding up progress. Whether you’re chasing Fire during a Solar Flare or risking your gems in the Mutation Machine, each mutation brings a boost worth the effort.
Some are easy, some are rare, and a few demand perfect timing. This guide breaks it all down so you can stop guessing and start mutating with purpose.
All Mutations in My Singing Brainrot
There are three main methods to get mutations: catching hourly global events, buying mutated eggs from the conveyor, or using the Mutation Machine after reaching Level 30. Each method has its own benefits, risks, and requirements. Here’s how each one works.

1. Global Event Mutations
Global events occur at the top of every hour (XX:00) and last for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. If you’re not in-game during the event, you’ll miss it. These events automatically apply mutations to eligible brainrots when triggered.
Mutation | How to Get | Effect |
---|---|---|
Fire | During Solar Flare global event | 10x earnings |
Electric | During Lightning global event | 5x earnings |
Ice | During Ice Storm global event | 10x earnings |
Glitch | During Glitched global event | 10x earnings (manual) |
You don’t need to do anything during most of these events other than be present in the server. However, the Glitch mutation works differently.
If you’re grinding for mutations, this is also the best time to farm rare characters like Bombombini, who pair well with high-earning setups and benefit greatly from multiplier boosts.
How to Get the Glitched Mutation
The Glitched event doesn’t apply the mutation automatically. You need to actively participate.
Here’s the process:
- Wait for the Glitched global event to start.
- When rifts appear on the map, walk into one.
- You’ll get teleported to a random location.
- Go back to your plot and walk through the brainrot you want to mutate.
This might not work the first time, so repeat the process if needed.
2. Egg-Based Mutations
Some mutations come from special eggs that appear on the conveyor belt. These show up during specific global events or can be created using Boombox items.
Mutation | How to Get | Effect |
---|---|---|
Bloodmoon | Buy Bloodmoon Egg during Bloodmoon event | 4x earnings |
Diamond | Buy Diamond Egg or use Diamond Boombox | 3x earnings |
Gold | Buy Gold Egg or use Golden Boombox | 2x earnings |
Timing matters here, too. Bloodmoon eggs only appear during the Bloodmoon global event. Gold and Diamond eggs show up more often during the Gold Rush or Half-Off events.

3. Using the Mutation Machine
The Mutation Machine was added in the Space Update. You need to be at least Level 30 to use it. It’s located in the Item Shops area and consumes Gems to attempt a mutation.
Mutation chances:
- Golden – 32.60%
- Diamond – 27.20%
- Bloodmoon – 8.80%
- Electric – 4.40%
- Fire – 1.90%
- Ice – 1.90%
- Glitch – 1.90%
- Failure – 21.60%
You can’t control which mutation you get, and there’s a solid chance the mutation will fail entirely. Use your Gems wisely.
Do Mutations Stack?

No. If your brainrot already has a mutation and gets another, both will apply separately on the base value, not on top of each other.
Example:
If your brainrot earns $10 per second, and it gets the Fire mutation, it earns $100 per second. If it later gets Electric, that adds $50 per second, not 5x the already increased amount. Both boosts are calculated from the original $10.
You can have multiple mutations on one brainrot, but their effects remain tied to the base value.

FAQs
How Often Do Global Events Happen in My Singing Brainrot?
Global events take place every hour on the dot (XX:00). There’s no set pattern for which event appears next, so if you’re aiming for a specific mutation, you’ll need to stay in-game and wait for it to trigger.
Can I Get Mutations While I’m Offline?
No. Unlike some other idle games, My Singing Brainrot requires you to be online and active during global events. If you’re not in the server when the event happens, you won’t get the mutation, even if the timing matches.
Is It Worth Using the Mutation Machine?
It depends on how many Gems you’ve saved. The Mutation Machine has a 21.6% failure rate, and rare mutations like Fire, Ice, and Glitch have less than a 2% chance. If you’re going for common mutations like Golden or Diamond, it’s more reliable but for rarer types, it can be a risky gamble.
