In this guide, we shall go over all the resources in Mycopunk, their general description, and how to get them.
Mycopunk throws you into the shoes of the New Atlas Hazard Crew as they set off on space expeditions to deal with the fungal threat plaguing the galaxy. The fungal threat is absolutely dangerous, and you have to be ready if you’re going to deal with it.
To ensure you’re always ready for any challenge you might face, Mycopunk gives you tons of gear and upgrade options. You can upgrade your character and weapons to get stronger, which makes subsequent missions easier and instills a rapid sense of progression.
These valuable upgrades and gear pieces don’t come for free, however. You require resources to upgrade, which you get by playing the game. | Resource | Rarity | Description | How to Get |
| Gats | Standard | Standard galactic currency. Typically used as payment for low-level Saxon employees (where law permits). | You get this resource by completing missions. |
| Romphus | Rare | A rare fungus that occasionally grows on enemy shells, given the right environmental conditions, is harvested by destroying the infected area. | This resource is dropped by enemies. |
| Gussula | Rare | A unique, docile fungus that can be found atop a stem. Harvest it with an unarmed strike. | This resource spawns randomly on the map. Punch the resource and it will try to run away. Punch it again to collect it. |
| Beezia | Rare | An exceptionally difficult fungus to keep alive. Release it from a container to harvest. | You can find this resource inside containers during missions. |
| Yeuco | Rare | A sticky fruiting body that combines with metal to form a valuable resource. Harvest it by coating enemy cores and destroying them. | You’ll find this randomly during the missions. To acquire it, you’ll have to pick it up and throw it at an enemy. When you kill the coated enemy, they’ll drop the harvested item. |
| Upgrade Point | Rare | Use it to unlock new upgrades for any character. | You gain Upgrade Points each time you level up. |
| Saxonite | Epic | Proprietary resource of Saxon Industries, mined on New Atlas. Exhibits emit radiation that affects gravity, time, and space, making it ideal for long-distance space travel. | You get this by completing missions on the highest difficulty. |
