NBA 2K26 features an exciting MyCareer mode where you can create your own custom player and lead him to the top of the NBA world. During this process, you will join a team when starting your career. However, as you get better and better, you can switch teams, too, if you want. Let’s take a look at how to do so.

Can You Trade in NBA 2K26?
After starting your career with a certain team, you must make sure to complete the first season with that team only. You cannot switch teams during this time or request a trade. After you have played all the key games of the first season, you need to then complete the offseason as well. While you necessarily have to play the key games, you can simulate other matches. Once you have completed the offseason as well, go and visit Xander.
Before starting the next season, you will get a list of teams that you can be a part of. The salaries will also be mentioned alongside the team names. Moreover, a brief description of the squad and your role in the team will be provided here. Do take a thorough look at everything and analyze how your future is going to look with the next team.

Once you have made up your mind, select the desired team, and you can then finally start playing for a new team. Before pulling the switch, note that all your Dynasty progress up to this point will be erased, and you will have to start all over again. You can repeat the same process over and over again whenever one season ends and you want to try your luck with another team.
