Rhythm shooting, in a nutshell, is a more precise way of making a shot by being in sync with your player’s movements. For a normal shoot, you press the trigger button and release to shoot the ball towards the hoop. You can also hold your shot stick (RS) down to begin taking the shot. For Rhythmic shots, you must observe the movements of your player.

In this article, we will discuss how to perform Rhythm shooting in NBA 2K26.

When taking a shot, the moment you see that your player is in the position, you push ‘RS’ up while matching the motion as well as your player’s speed. You can choose to push the ‘RS’ in any direction you wish before taking the shot, as per the type of shot you want to take. Just remember to pull the ‘RS’ back in the opposite direction of the push. Getting the timing right is crucial, depending on whether you are going for this shot standing or in motion.

Using the ‘RS’ is necessary for Rhythm shots for matching your player’s motion. Don’t think of it as a flick, but more like you are dragging the stick to move his body. As the ball reaches the level of his head, that is when you start dragging the ‘RS’ up. Depending upon the player, there may be slight variations based on their movement styles. So you will need to practice this trick a couple of times before taking it to the main court.

There is also another way of taking a shot. For this, you will not need to pull the ‘RS’ in the opposite direction. Instead, you will rotate the stick 90 degrees in either direction from the initial push or pull. For instance, if you pushed the ‘RS’ down before action, you can rotate the ‘RS’ to either your left or right side at the time of making the shot.
