Ninja Gaiden 4, the next mainline title in the iconic character action series, is just a few days away from its release date. The franchise has been on hiatus since 2021, following the release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma: Master Collection. However, in 2025, the Ninja Gaiden series has once again taken its spot in the limelight, with not one, but three releases, within the span of months.

Release Countdown for Ninja Gaiden 4
Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled to be released on October 21, 2025. The game is following the usual release timing for consoles, i.e., midnight local time. However, on PC, the release timing is a bit different. On Game Pass, the game is releasing at the usual midnight local time. However, on Steam, Ninja Gaiden 4 is releasing at 5 PM PT/ 8 PM ET (October 20).
Surprisingly enough, there’s no early access incentive for pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 4. Regardless of the version you purchase, you will be able to play the game on its October 21, 2025, release date. However, if you want to jump into the action right away, you can pre-load the game on your platform of choice.

Ninja Gaiden 4 Pre-Load Details
Pre-load for Ninja Gaiden 4 is currently live on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass. Whereas on PS5, the pre-download is scheduled to go live on October 19, 2025. On Xbox, the game’s download size is roughly 35 GB. And on PS5, the download size is roughly 25 GB. As for the PC, pre-loads are expected to go live 24 hours prior to the release date.
However, no official details regarding the PC pre-load have been revealed by Xbox Game Studios and Koei Tecmo Games.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is available to pre-order on all platforms. Furthermore, the game is offered in two different editions – Standard and Deluxe. Here’s a breakdown of the different editions and their contents:
