Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is a fairly challenging game. The platforming is tough, and once you master it, the game throws hordes of enemies at you to drain your HP. If you survive that, the game then mixes both elements, forcing you to platform while juggling several attacks. If you manage to survive all that and make it to the end, there’s a good chance a ridiculously frustrating boss is waiting for you.
Deikrag is one such boss in the game and is one of the most frustrating encounters due to the absurdly small arena size. This giant animal-esque demon hops around the arena, smashing the ground and giving you no room to breathe. Beating him requires you to identify his attack pattern, and that’s what we’re here to help you with.

How To Beat Deikrag in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
As stated earlier, beating Deikrag requires you to identify his attack patterns. He may look like he’s mindlessly hulk-smashing the ground, but there’s a lot more to his attacks than that.
- Jumping Ground Smash: In this, Deikrag leaps into the air and smashes into the ground. You can easily dodge this attack by moving away from him. We recommend moving behind him to punish and deal damage for a longer duration.
- Ground Smash: Deikrag lifts his hands up and smashes them into the ground. He then immediately follows it up by tossing shards right at you. One of these shards will have an aura, so destroy it immediately to get Hypercharge.
- Charge Attack: Once you get the boss down to 50% HP, he will charge right at you like a bull. Guillotine Boost over him to send him crashing into the wall.
- Super Ground Slam: Deikrag will jump up and disappear. He will then throw four shards into the arena, one of which will have an aura. A second or two later, he will smash into your position. To avoid this, quickly destroy the aura shard and Hypercharge attack him in midair to stun him.
