In this guide, we shall go over how to beat the Giant Eel boss in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, one of the hardest bosses in the game.
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is a fairly challenging game, and much like the classic NES games it takes inspiration from, it does very little in terms of handholding. You’re supposed to figure out the levels, enemies, and bosses, all by yourself.
While this is perfect in theory, it often results in you getting bodied by the game’s bosses. The Giant Eel is one such boss in the game. The boss is challenging in a multitude of ways, but it is mostly so because it throws you into a 2v1 scenario. The Giant Eel has two heads, and dealing with both heads can be overwhelming. How To Beat Giant Eel in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound

Right as the fight kicks off, the first thing you’ll notice is that the Giant Eel has two heads. The first head is blue and the other pink. These two heads have different attack patterns. As long as you can keep track of these heads, you can deal with the boss.
- Blue head: The blue head throws four blue orbs into the ground. These orbs land at the exact quarter points of the arena. Avoid the orbs and attack the blue head while it’s shooting them out. Once he’s done shooting, he’ll lunge at you once before falling straight to the ground with the Hypercharge aura. You can use a standard attack to gain a Hypercharge attack and then stun it for some easy hits.
- Pink Head: The pink head shoots out orbs that follow you. Guillotine boost over these to dodge. Once the animation finishes, it will lunge at you and drop to the ground with a pink Hypercharge aura. Use a Spider weapon to gain Hypercharge and use it on the boss. The pink also has a fire-breath sort of attack. Jump up to the platform above to dodge it.
Between all the attacks, the boss will fly out of the water to attack you from below. You’ll see the silhouette of the heads underwater before this attack, so keep your eye out for it. In the second phase of this fight, the two heads will fight together, mixing and matching their attacks. From our experience, staying on the floating platform helped us deal with the barrage easily.
