Ninja Gaiden Ragebound has a ton of secrets and collectibles, but the Golden Scarabs might just be the most important of them all.
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound may be a side scroller, but its levels are no less riddled with secrets when compared to its 3D counterparts. Each level in the game has tons of secrets to find. You may discover hidden enemies, Crystal Skulls, NPCs, and sometimes, Golden Scarabs.
Golden Scarabs are a collectible item in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. As you go about exploring the levels in the game, you will find these golden beetles floating in the air. They’re never at the obvious spots, so you’ll have to do a bit of exploring before you come across them.
The Golden Scarabs in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound are a currency that you can use to purchase amulets in the game. Shortly into the first act, you will meet the NPC Murasama. The old man sells amulets and only takes payments in the form of Golden Scarabs. We shall discuss this in detail below.

You find Golden Scarabs by simply playing the game and exploring the levels in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound. They’re fairly easy to find in the early game, but can be a bit evasive in the later acts. We recommend exploring as much as you can to find them.
Once you have the Golden Scarabs, you can use them by following the steps below:
- Boot up Ninja Gaiden Ragebound and load into the main menu.
- Enter the World Map, and you’ll see a bunch of levels.
- You can then access Murasama’s Store by pressing Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or Space Bar on PC.
- Inside this shop, you’ll find several items that you can purchase using Golden Scarabs.
