We might have a potential release window for Hollow Knight Silksong, thanks to Nintendo Japan, and its much closer than anyone expects.
The next Hollow Knight game was almost treated as a myth before Nintendo announced that it will be releasing this year. Furthering this, Nintendo Japan is continuing to give us more updates on a release window for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Due to this release window, we might also have an estimate of when to expect further news about the long-awaited title. Here is everything we know about this newly revealed release window.

Nintendo Japan Store Listing for Hollow Knight: Silksong Reveals Potential Release Window
If you go to the official Nintendo Japan store page, you will see various games listed for the Nintendo Switch 2. The page is divided into three sections:
- Games releasing after June 5, 2025
- Games releasing after June 6, 2025
- Games with undecided release dates
The Switch 2 itself releases on June 5, 2025. Therefore, games in the first section will be the day-one launches for the handheld console. Meanwhile, the second section contains games which will be releasing sometime after the launch of the latest Nintendo device.
The last section only contains three games, with unspecified release dates. These are: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Hades II, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
Fortunately for Silksong fans, the game is not in the last section. Instead, it is listed in the section of “games releasing after June 6.” Still, we don’t have a conclusive release date to pin down for this game. However, you should also know that this allows us to make estimates regarding when we could get more information about this mythical sequel.
When Can We Expect More News Regarding Hollow Knight Silksong?

Since the game will be releasing anytime after June 6, 2025, we can expect more news about it to show up at at least one of two events. These are the Summer Games Fest or the Xbox Games Showcase.
The Summer Games Fest is scheduled for June 6, 2025. This happening one day after the release of the Switch 2 makes us believe that at least some Switch 2 releases might be shown here. This could include the topic of this conversation, Silksong.
Another such event is the Xbox Games Showcase, which is scheduled for June 8, 2025. Silksong will be available day one on the Xbox Game Pass. Therefore, it’s not too far-fetched to think that we can expect a future Game Pass day-one title to be shown here.
