The new handheld boasts a bigger display while maintaining the same thickness as the previous generation. This makes it more enjoyable without making it too bulky in the process.

The previous Switch had a 6.9-inch display, while the new console boasts a 7.9-inch display. This is roughly a 14% increase over the original screen size. It will also support gaming at up to 1080p in 120 FPS. This new LCD screen also supports HDR display for even better visuals.

The original Switch had only 32GB of storage. To the shock and delight of fans, the new console will have eight times the storage of its predecessor, with 256GB. This will let you download and enjoy a much larger selection of games than was possible before.

That’s not all—the game cards for the Switch 2 will have much faster data reading speeds. Lastly, the new console will support microSD Express cards to expand your storage. However, note that regular microSD cards will not be compatible with this system.

The new Joy-Con 2 controllers connect to the Switch 2 easily via built-in magnets. You can press to release these magnets for greater ease in removing and attaching these parts.

Additionally, the SL and SR buttons have been made even bigger for playing while holding the controllers horizontally. Those are not the only things made larger, though. The left and right joysticks have also been made comparatively bigger. These changes will surely be appreciated.

The new stand can be adjusted as you want, based on your location for playing. You can keep it upright or tilt it to an extreme degree. This freedom is a nice feature for a small portable console.

Also, the new dock will come with a fan to keep your console cool while playing for long hours. Moreover, you can connect your Switch 2 to your TV using the Switch 2 dock to get 4K resolution for select games.

Additionally, the console speakers have also been improved over the previous console. You can adjust the audio balance between different ranges to get the sound quality that sounds perfect to your ears.

This console will also have built-in mics for easy voice chatting with your friends while you are playing your favorite games. The mic is outfitted with noise-canceling technology to remove any game or external noise while transmitting your voice clearly. Finally, the Switch 2 will have backward compatibility with select Switch games, so you can play lots of older games on the new console without much hassle.
