The newly announced Nvidia RTX 5050 may deliver a 4060-level performance at a 50-class pricing, that is, if it actually sells at MSRP.

Nvidia has officially revealed the RTX 5050 after months of leaks and rumors of its existence. Some users didn’t actually believe it would launch, given the fact that a similar 50-class GPU never launched in the RTX 40 series, but here we are with the new RTX 5050. It brings some nifty improvements over not only the older RTX 3050 but also the RTX 4060 in terms of higher clock speeds, memory bandwidth, and more.
In this article, we will explain everything you need to know about the RTX 5050, including its specs, performance targets, release date, and more.

Nvidia RTX 5050: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

The Nvidia RTX 5050 was announced on June 24, 2025, and comes in both desktop and laptop versions, which we will discuss in a dedicated article. Here’s everything you need to know about the desktop RTX 5050:
Specs
Here are the specs of the Nvidia RTX 5050:
Specifications | Details |
Architecture | Blackwell |
Shader cores | 2560 |
RT cores | 20 |
TMUs | 80 |
ROPs | 32 |
Base core clock speeds | 2317 MHz |
Boost core clock speeds | 2572 MHz |
Memory capacity | 8GB GDDR6 |
Memory bus width | 128-bit |
Memory bandwidth | 320 GB/s |
Manufacturing node | 5nm |
Thermal design power (TDPs) | 130W |
Features

The RTX 5050 supports all the features of other Nvidia RTX 50 Series GPUs, including the full DLSS 4 suite with Multi-Frame Generation. Here are some of the major features it supports:
- DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation
- Nvidia Reflex 2
- PCIe Gen 5 Support
- 4th Gen RT Cores
- 421 AI TOPS
- Nvidia Gen 9 Encoder (NVENC) and Gen 6 Nvidia Decoder (NVDEC)
Performance Target
When it comes to performance, the RTX 5050 should be close to the RTX 4060 in rasterization and extremely similar in ray tracing, if not better. The gap between the RTX 5050 and RTX 4060 will vary depending on the game. While that is not a fantastic improvement, it will be enough for most users if it is available at a lower price than the RTX 4060.
Pricing and Release Date

The Nvidia RTX 5050 is priced at $249 and should launch during the second half of July 2025. An exact release date is not available yet. It won’t be available in a Founder’s Edition, just like the RTX 5060 series cards. Nvidia’s partners Zotac and Inno3D have revealed their RTX 5050 models already, and other partner models will be revealed soon.
