As you explore the town of Bruma in the game, you stumble upon the house of Bradon Lirrian, which is now a gruesome crime scene. Turns out that Bradian Lirrian was a vampire who went on an apparent killing spree. The vampire was caught and killed by Raynil Dralas, and the case has now closed.
The details seem all fine and dandy but your intuition tells you that something is amiss. Is everything you’ve learned true? What’s happening? You begin the quest by going to Bradon Lirrian’s house in Bruma. As you enter, you’re stopped by Carius who refuses to give any details. Charm Carius and he will spill out all his secrets, giving you information on the crime. Head to the other end of the room and talk to Erline Lirrian, Bradon’s wife. Erline pleads her husband’s case, asking you for help to clear his name. Erline is suspicious of Raynil and asks you to investigate him.
Next, head over to Olav’s Tap and Tack and talk to Olav, who will give you his location and a key to his room. Enter the room and find the journal behind the small cupboard. This journal reveals information linking Raynil, Bradon, and a certain Gelebourne. Ask Olav about Gelebourne and you learn that he met the same fate at the hands of Raynil.
Inform Carius of the evidence and he’ll set off to assemble a squad of soldiers. Meet him at Olav’s an hour later, and he’ll ask you to hunt Raynil at the Boreal Stone Cave. Head to the cave and confront Raynil, who will confess to his crimes. Defeat Raynil and use his keys to loot the chest nearby for an amulet. Return to Erline and give her the amulet to complete the quest.
