This guide explains how you can find and acquire the Bound Sword in Oblivion Remastered. It is one of the most powerful Claymores around.

In Oblivion Remastered, you are always on the hunt for the most powerful weapons. These will allow you to take down enemies quicker and explore dungeons or ruins without fear of facing a strong foe. However, most of such powerful items are hidden behind long questlines. And, you might only start getting access to them much later in the game. Depending on how quickly you level up though, you can get other powerful weapons, such as the Bound Sword, at any point in the game.
In this guide, we’ll explain how you can equip the Bound Sword in Oblivion Remastered.
How To Get the Bound Sword in Oblivion Remastered

Bound Sword is a weapon that you get only when you cast a spell, dubbed the Bound Sword spell. So, if you are playing as a mage, this weapon is something you can conjure up at any time. Nevertheless, you need to meet a few requirements before you can cast the Bound Sword spell in the game.
You can purchase the spell from a Mage’s Guild vendor in Chorrol. Simply enter the Mages Guild building in the city and talk to the merchant named Athragar. Open his trading menu, and you should find the Bound Sword spell available there. Alternatively, you can also buy it from Volanaro at the Bruma Mages Guild or Raminus Polus at the Arcane University. We’d suggest getting it from Arthragar though, as he sells it at the lowest price. You’ll need to spend around 2300 gold for it.

How To Use the Bound Sword in Oblivion Remastered

Even if you have the money, you should know that you can only cast the spell at Expert level. This means you’ll be able to cast Bound Sword when you’re at Level 75 or higher. And, you’ll need to have a significant magicka pool to be able to cast it since the conjuration spell consumes a lot of it. After casting the spell, the weapon will last for 15 seconds. So, having high magicka regeneration will help you to constantly keep the Bound Sword equipped.
The conjured Claymore through Bound Sword has a base damage of 30. This is the highest damage when considering all Claymores in the game. Also, only two other Shivering Isle weapons can match this base damage stat, making Bound Sword a formidable weapon in your arsenal.
