How To Complete The Path of Dawn Quest in Oblivion Remastered
Getting Started
Talk to Jauffre and accept his offer to join the Blades. You are given the rank of Knight Brother and presented with an Akaviri Katana. Ask Jauffre about the Amulet of Kings to begin ‘The Path of Dawn’ quest. He will task you with heading to the Luther Broad’s Boarding House and speaking with Baurus to gather more information about the amulet.
Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 1: Find Baurus

Head to the Elven Gardens district in the Imperial City and enter Luther Broad’s Boarding House to find Baurus seated at the bar. When you talk to Baurus, he reveals that he has attracted unwanted attention while gathering intelligence and is being stalked. He leaves for the basement, and his stalker, Astav, follows him.
Enter the basement and back up Baurus in the fight against Astav. After defeating the Mythic Dawn agent, loot him to find a book titled Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 1. When you talk to Baurus about it, he will point you to Tar-Meena, an Argonian sorceress who has expertise in Daedric cults.
Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 2: Meet Tar-Meena

Travel to the southeast corner of the Imperial City and enter the Arcane University. Find Tar-Meena at the Arch-Mage’s Lobby. If you have joined the Mages Guild, she will be in the Mystic Archives. Tar-Meena is sure that you can find the cult by collecting all four Mythic Dawn Commentaries books. She hands you Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 2 and provides the whereabouts of the third and fourth books.
Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 3: First Edition Bookstore
Find the First Edition bookstore in the market district in the northeast section of the city, opposite the Copious Coinpurse. Enter the store and speak with Phintias. He informs you that the third book is with him, but has already been sold to Gwinas, and the fourth one is almost impossible to find.
At this point, you have the option to persuade Gwinas to sell you the book, use thievery, or resort to violence. However, the simplest solution is to speak with Gwinas and tell him about the Emperor’s death at the hands of Mythic Dawn. He will give you the book and provide a note about a Mythic Dawn meeting, which can provide leads to the final volume.
Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 4: Enter the Sewers

Talk to Baurus and tell him about your findings. Accompany him through the Elven Garden Sewers. You will have to follow Baurus at his pace to keep him close so he can assist you in the fight ahead. Keeping Baurus alive will likely require healing spells or using the waiting mechanic to regain health out of combat. However, it can be worth it since he will provide you with a free skill increase to Blade, Block, and Heavy Armor after the quest.
When you reach the meeting spot with the sponsor, let Baurus take a seat while you sneak up the stairs and overlook the meeting from a vantage point. Sneak attack the sponsor or his bodyguards at any point after they walk in. Defeat them and loot the Mythic Dawn Commentaries Vol 4 and the Sunken Sewers Key from the Sponsor’s body. Use the key to exit the sewers ahead.
Crack the Code: Green Emperor Way

Head to Green Emperor Way, the central district of the Imperial City. When you enter Green Emperor Way from the west, head right along the gravestones and approach the first pillared structure on the left. This is the Tomb of Prince Camarril. Wait until midday, any time between 11:50 am and 12:30 pm. Activate the Tomb of Prince Camarril as the markings glow red.
Congratulations! You have completed ‘The Path of Dawn’ main quest and are ready to begin ‘Dagon Shrine.’
