Here’s a guide on how you can get the Jewel of the Rumare, a ring that allows you to breath underwater in Oblivion Remastered.
In Oblivion Remastered, many races live together in Cyrodiil. You can pick most of those races as your starting class, and each gives you unique benefits. Argonian is a race that you can pick, and one of their special abilities is breathing underwater. However, no other race can do it naturally, unless you get the Water Breathing Ring. It can come in handy when exploring underwater areas for treasures.

Location of Water Breathing Ring in Oblivion Remastered
You get the Water Breathing Ring as a part of a small quest from Aelwin in Weye. The good thing is, you can head to this location right after escaping from the Imperial Prison Sewers. Weye is a small settlement at the end of the western bridge of Imperial City. You can see the exact location in the image above. After you talk to Aelwin, you get the quest ‘Go Fish,’ and the ring is the reward.
How to Complete the Go Fish Quest in Oblivion Remastered
To complete the quest, Aelwin asks you to go and kill 12 Rumare Slaughterfish. This is because Aelwin fears that he might perish soon due to those fish. The fish are quite easy to kill, as they are scattered around the shores of Rumare. You must bring a melee weapon, like a knife, and dive underwater to kill all 12 Slaughterfish. You cannot use bows or magic underwater, so the melee weapon is the only way to do this.
After you kill the fish, collect their scales. After collecting 12 Slaughterfish Scales, you can return to Aelwin to collect the Jewel of the Rumare, a ring that grants extra Athletics and water breathing to the wearer. Additionally, you can sell the ring for 2550 gold, that is, if you do not care about breathing underwater in Oblivion Remastered.
