The following beginner’s guide for One Block should help new players master the survival sandbox. Your primary goal in the game is to survive for 100 days while dealing with hunger, miners, and monsters. One Block has a day and night cycle, and you’ll face different challenges depending on the time of day.

For instance, monsters spawn every three nights, and you must survive their onslaught. During the day, your goal is to harvest as many resources as you can. The following tips should help beginners in the game survive all the hardships.

Beginner’s Guide for One Block

Getting Started

You can start the game by choosing your party size. Your party can consist of up to four players. Beginning the game will spawn each player in their respective bases. Initially, your only resources are one block, the Magnet Workbench, and the Platform Workbench. You will have access to four different equipment types.

Depending on the kind of block you’re trying to mine, you must use the matching equipment. For instance, you can only mine certain blocks with a pickaxe. Using the wrong equipment on a block will either prevent you from mining it or make the process incredibly slow.

Mining each block will give you money. You can use the money to buy Platforms or Magnets. Platforms enable you to reach distant places, ultimately allowing you to traverse the eight available islands. Magnets, on the other hand, help collect money from a distance.

In this section of our beginner’s guide for One Block, we’ll discuss some of the gameplay mechanics you must know.

  • Islands: You need to connect to as many islands as you can by buying Platforms. Each island will have certain resources, more money, treasure, or enemy encounters.
  • Combat: Facing off against monsters isn’t too difficult since you’ll have access to a sword. However, these enemies can overwhelm you with their numbers if you aren’t careful.
  • Classes: The game has four classes to choose from right now. Each class unlock costs 300 Gems and comes with certain perks and benefits.
  • Money: As mentioned before, money is a crucial resource in the game. Without sufficient funds, you won’t be able to buy Platforms to traverse the different islands. Magnets can help you collect more cash. Expensive Magnets will help you extend the time limit before the reset.
  • Hunger: This is one of the survival mechanics that adds a sense of urgency to the game. The Hunger Bar is displayed on the left-hand side of the screen at all times. When full, this bar is green. As you perform work or different activities, the bar will start to deplete. Eventually, it will turn red and empty out completely. You will die when the bar runs out, and you’ll need to spend 49 Robux to revive. The better solution is to constantly eat food as the bar drains. You can find food on the islands and at different locations.
  • Monsters: Every three nights, monsters will spawn on the island. If you don’t deal with them during the night, they’ll remain even during the day. So, it’s better to clear them out as soon as possible. Monsters vary in size, ranging from small to large. Regardless of their size, killing monsters will give you raw meat. You can feed on this resource to regain some of your drained hunger bar.
