OnePlus officially launched its all-new OnePus Watch 3 on February 18th, and it is an evolution from the previous models. Notably, the new watch offers the longest battery life in the entire OnePlus smartwatch lineup. Moreover, it comes with a wrist temperature sensor, fall detection, and personalized AI insights, which help users understand their health data.

Fitness Features
The OnePlus Watch 3 comes with all of the basic health features like heart rate monitoring, calories burnt, cardiovascular health, SPO2, wrist temperature, and other general well-being. Additionally, it also has ECG monitoring and the ability to monitor arterial stiffness, which can be used to find out blood pressure and general heart health.
The OnePlus Watch 3 also has a quick health check feature that measures all the health vitals in 60 seconds by pressing the finger on the watch’s bottom button. This feature goes through the user’s current heart metrics along with body temperature, sleep, and mental to evaluate and give an overall impression of the user’s health condition.
The sleep monitoring in the OnePlus Watch 3 can alert the user about breathing issues during sleeping while also tracking trends over 30 days. It also has an all-new well-being and stress tracking within the Wellness app. It can now categorize the stress level with an emoji and even indicate when to take a break.
The OnePlus Watch 3 features an upgraded sensor that uses a new crystal material, an all-new sensor layout, and smarter algorithms to enhance accuracy. Additionally, it supports tracking 100-plus different types of workouts, with 11 of them offering Pro modes for more data.
SmartWatch Features
The OnePlus Watch 3 uses the latest Wear OS 5 software, which allows it to switch between phones without the need to reset. Additionally, it offers improved synchronization with the paired smartphone Google apps like Gmail, Google Maps, and Google Wallet.
Users can set up video watch faces for the OnePlus Watvh 3, which adds an extra layer of customizability to the watch. The watch also has better accuracy for GPS tracking because of the enhanced sensors and better GPS antennas. Additionally, OnePlus and Oppo phone users get an exclusive feature that allows the watch to function as a camera control for YouTube and TikTok.
Battery Life
The OnePlus Watch 3 operates using two different chips to run the smartwatch. The Snapdragon W5 powers Wear OS for standard performance, while the watch switches to BES2800 to handle simple background functions using RTOS software. Additionally, this type of chip arrangement helps the watch to maximize the watch’s performance and battery life.
The battery of the Watch 3 can last for up to 5 days in the standard “smart” power mode and power saver mode it can go up to 16 days. Moreover, the watch comes with a 631mAh battery, which uses a silicon-carbon-based technology, borrowed from the OnePlus 13 battery, which helps to stuff more capacity in the same size battery.
The Included charging base can charge the watch in about 80 minutes, while just a 10-minute charge can provide a full day of use. The watch can be placed on the charger in only one way, making it easier to align the watch on the charging base.
Design
The OnePlus Watch 3 has a similar aesthetic to its predecessor with a few changes like the new tapered, rotating crown and a smaller button on the side of the case. The case is made of stainless steel with a sapphire crystal display and a titanium bezel around the screen.
The new Watch 3 has a much better AMOLED 1.5-inch touch screen. The display can go up to 2,200 nits of maximum brightness and a resolution of 466 x 466 with a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 60Hz.
The OnePlus Watch 3 comes with an IP68 weather resistance rating, and a MIL-STD-810H certification meaning it can withstand extreme temperature changes and different environmental changes like falls and shocks. It also has 5ATM water rating which means it can withstand up to 164 feet of water.
