The Elderwood map in the new expansion for Palia unlocks several secrets for players to discover. And, since the zone is quite expansive, it might be difficult for you to blindly find all of them. Some of these secrets even lead to optional quests and rewards. However, for the most part, the game doesn’t offer any clues about finding or unlocking these secret quests.
One such quest is Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow. Many players might never even find this mission, let alone complete it. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can start the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow quest in Palia and how you can finish it.
How To Begin the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow Quest in Palia
Since this is a secret quest, most players will stumble onto it accidentally while exploring the Elderwood region. If you want to start the quest, simply head to the Okanaa Bog area of the map. In this area, you’ll find some ruins and a crate just beside them. Interacting with the crate will immediately trigger the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow quest.
The quest log will reveal that you have a package from Tarkaa for someone in Kilima. However, it doesn’t tell you to whom you’ll need to deliver this package. And no map markers will appear telling you where to go. So, the only clue you get is to head to Kilima Village and find the intended recipient of the package.

How To Complete the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow Quest in Palia
As we mentioned, you’ll need to head to Kilima Village to find out who the package is for. You can speak to the NPCs in the village to try and discover this information. However, that can be time-consuming. Instead, we’ll tell you that you need to talk to Mayro Kenli. You can find him at most times inside the Mayor’s Office in the City Hall building.
As soon as you start talking to the Mayor, ask him whether he ordered something from Tarkaa. Turns out he did, and the package you have is for him. It contains a wig for the bald Mayor, which explains the name for the quest. After you deliver the package to him, the Mayor says he’ll write you a letter to report on how the wig is working out for him.
You can wait for this letter or engage in other activities in the meantime. After some time, check your mailbox and read the letter that arrives from Mayor Kenli. This ends the quest and gives you access to the reward – an Aristocrat Mirror – which is a piece of furniture.
